Newbuilding Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newbuilding Analyst to work within the Newbuilding department within our Sale & Purchase division, and as part of the team of Commercial Analysts within the Group.
Key Focus:
- Prepare broker briefings, covering key Newbuilding Market topics – to present internally to Newbuilding and Sale and Purchase teams initially as well as evolving into client facing
- Liaise with commercial analysts within the group
- Liaise with Clarksons Research
- Data management on desk – coordinate and refine data retention on the desk, including updating and maintaining design information, comparison tables, internal orderbook analysis, evolution of information provision and presentation
- Contribute to development of Newbuilding App and Dashboard
- In time, liaise with technical departments of shipyards to keep abreast of design and technology development
- Vessel design performance economics and analysis
- Model Shipyard capacity and productivity
- Develop and maintain relationships with Classification Societies and Key Equipment Manufacturers – updating desk accordingly with feedback
- Support client marketing activities / preparing bespoke presentations
- Market analysis to support identification of opportunities to broking desk

Your Experience:
- Strong experience of working within a technical analyst role
- Experience of working within a shipping/maritime organisation
- Highly proficient in using MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word to an advanced standard
- Client oriented, with good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently and within cross-departmental teams to fulfil requirements
