Clarksons Port Services provides the highest standards of support with 24/7 attendance to vessel owners, operators and charters at a wide range of strategically located ports in UK and Egypt.

We provide vessel agency, project logistics, vessel chartering, freight forwarding, warehousing, crew travel and industrial supplies. Service is our watchword.  Today, our workforce numbers around 141 experienced professionals - each one a trained, service-oriented member of Team Clarksons.


Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Agency Operator to carry out agency operations as instructed by management and in accordance with client requirements, company procedures, H&S systems and the CPS Management System



  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operations to the satisfaction of the customer and to maintain the highest possible standard of agency services on a day to day basis.
  • Liaise with Principals, Port Authorities, Installations, H.M. Customs & Excise, port services, to visit vessels and board in port and despatch documentation at Customs.
  • Assist the Manager with commercial development and improvement of the division.
  • Open ships files, update wallboard and ships register on a regular basis.
  • Prepare proforma disbursements for the request of advance funds from Owners/Charterers for vessels port call.
  • Maintain job tracker in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in the office on-call rota to provide 24/7 cover (as / when required).
  • Prepare and collate Statutory / Cargo documentation for despatch (as necessary).
  • Provide cover to other CPS offices as requested by the Manager.
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with Company procedures and instructions and in accordance with general Health & Safety specific statutory, regulatory and other standards applicable to this role as noted in the Statutory and Regulatory Requirements Matrix.
  • To fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
