We are seeking a Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager to support the Clarksons Port Services / GIBB Group and the wider Clarksons business covering all UK offices.

The person in this role will lead on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental, and also the continued development, practices and procedures to deliver QHSE excellence and compliance.



  • Provide Health, Safety and Environmental professional guidance to develop the local site Health and Safety representatives in HSE knowledge and information sharing.
  • Maintain the CPS / GIBB Integrated Management System.
  • Provide and deliver Quality standards to the Company’s guidelines.
  • Developing standard operating procedures and training practices around Quality, Health and Safety within a shipping/maritime environment.
  • Provide knowledge and support in QHSE compliance including communication with the Competent Authority and supporting visits.
  • Engage with CPS segments and represent it in QHSE forums.
  • Monitor, analyse and report key performance indicators and target, report monthly to HQ, Physical Operations Management team and support strategy for HSE Governance.
  • Liaise and support Insurance requirements on QHSE.
  • Review and update risk profile and legislation. Support in the implementation of the required risk control measures.
  • Monitor and implement the required training compliance and manage training requirements.
  • Complete audit strategy to ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
  • Support Business development, tender approvals and due diligence. Provide QHSE knowledge and expertise as required.
  • Provide QHSE expertise and influence for internal projects.
  • Ensure Incident Investigation is competent, investigations are completed, audited and supported as required.
  • Developing KPIS and reporting on these from a QHSE perspective.


Person Specification:

You will have:

  • a proven working history of working at senior management level in a similar role within the Energy industry.
  • ideally NEBOSH, IOSH and an environmental qualification would be advantageous.
  • a high level of problem solving with policy adherence.
  • strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • A willingness to travel widely, primarily, inside the UK.
