The role

 

Reporting into the Head of Product we are now looking for a Product Manager to join our team in one of our global offices where you will support one of our key clients.

 

You will be responsible for developing and managing the roadmap and OKRs, building, and executing an effective product strategy within the Broking Core stream.  Building relationships with multiple stakeholders from different market segments will be key, to ensure you understand the customer needs which must align with the product and engineering teams to ensure the business goals and vision and met.  Being a team-player is key, with a willingness to execute business analyst tasks when required.

 

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a passion to understand the workings of our industry, to provide value to our key client.

 

Role responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the requirements and product roadmap within the Broking Core stream.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities and issues, formulating hypotheses, rapidly ideating, testing, delivery, and iterating solutions to create a best-in-class product that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Help develop and deliver an improved process for how features and new products are prioritised and added to the roadmap.
  • Work collaboratively with teams and developers to align plans, unpick problems, unblock development, advise on how to implement a new feature, and communicate changes.
  • Guide implementation of product analytics tools and create actionable plans on outcomes.
  • Build a deep understanding of users to create the roadmap for both front end website and data services.
  • Perform deep market analysis to inform the product roadmap, determine market size, assess competition, and clearly define market positioning.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including a variety of internal teams to ensure the platform is designed and built to relevant requirements.
  • Be a product leader, sharing your work with leadership.
  • Continuous monitoring of the product and platform, tracking and reviewing metrics to ensure delivery is being met.
  • Prepared to transform requirements via in depth analysis into stories and acceptance criteria when required.

 

 

Skills and experience 

 

  • Experience managing all aspects of a successful digital product.
  • Passionate about building the best possible user experience.
  • Comfortable with complex problem solving.
  • Strong business sense – we are building a true end-to-end solution, collaborating with other teams and the ability to identify and leverage features across the platform is key, as well as articulating the business value of such changes.
  • Approachable, excellent communicator – presenting to stakeholders both internally & externally is second nature to you.
  • A self-starter who enjoys and has experience of owning, shaping, transforming and delivering a world class product.
  • Experience with analytics and defining funnels / KPIs.
  • Background within the shipping industry is a bonus.
