The Role

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team Sea/Central team. You will work with cross-functional teams, including UX, engineering, and marketing, to conduct accurate data analysis, forecasting, and market research. 

This is a key role as we build a culture of true customer-led product design through data-driven solutions and deepen our product set. You will take full ownership of developing and managing the roadmap and OKRs, building, and executing an effective product strategy. You will need to understand customers' needs and align with the product development team whilst ensuring this also aligns with our business goals and vision.

Working well with stakeholders from different market segments will be key. The role is both strategic and tactical and requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a passion to understand the workings of our industry. 


Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and prioritise detailed product user stories/requirements to deliver high-quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • Translate and articulate complex business problems into easily understood solutions, documenting un-ambiguous definitions of scope.
  • Write epics and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Groom and prioritise backlog items to best achieve core business objectives.
  • Align stakeholders on the status, demonstrating progress, and ensure the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear.
  • Communicate complex concepts to all levels of an organization and customers.
  • Define problems, collect data, analyse data using a range of techniques, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals.
  • Co-ordinate with other teams on releases and ensure that they have been engaged to confirm impact on functionality and service
  • Understand the customer/ user of the product, utilising and sharing user journeys, personas, user experience data, and metrics to reinforce this understanding across the wider team.
  • Solid experience in building, launching, and maintaining digital consumer products/services in a product ownership role.
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders in different functions and of different levels of seniority.
  • An excellent understanding and experience in a scrum/agile product delivery experience.
  • Strong appreciation for web technologies and cloud-based platforms.
  • Technical fluency; understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule trade-offs, and new opportunities with technical team members
