Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Broker to join the Dry Cargo Panamax team in our Tokyo office. The ideal candidate should have a successful Broking background within Dry Cargo, be driven and focused, and be a strong relationship builder.
What you’ll be doing
- Handle day-to-day, spot broking, also COA and period time-charter.
- Understand the business strategy for the division and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients.
- Liaise with shipowners and/or charterers and staff in the company's other offices worldwide.
- Work in any area of the dry cargo market.
- Drive revenue and expand and develop the customer base both in and outside Japan.
- Handle necessary shipping documentation.
- Perform market analysis and provide market insight and trade ideas to clients.
- Provide market insights to clients.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements
- Dry cargo shipping experience.
- Min 2/5 years' experience in dry bulk sector.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Good level English language ability is required, and Japanese language ability is essential.
