Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on front of house Receptionist to join the team in our fantastic office at St Katharine Docks. As Receptionist, you will perform various reception duties and contribute to the successful running of a first-class reception service, ensuring that visitors and clients are received in a warm, professional and courteous manner, effecting personable and memorable experiences. The person in this role will provide reception cover for the team during times of staff absences, including holidays and sickness. Training will be provided but previous reception experience is required in order to hit the ground running. Due to the nature of the role the ideal candidate should be able to commute into the office with ease and sometimes at short notice.

What you will be doing
• Responsible for providing an exceptional front of house service, ensuring visitors/clients are greeted to the highest standards
• Meet and greet visitors, and on-board with access on the Clarksons visitor management system (including printing and issuing of visitor passes).
• Operate the switchboard and ensure all calls are answered/transferred/forwarded to relevant people, assist with enquiries, take accurate messages and field calls.
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures in order to ensure a seamless delivery of Front of House Services.
• Escalate. any issues to the Front of House Lead.
• Liaise with the Events Team, Training team and on-site Catering Management in order to manage and coordinate visitor registration for events, seminars etc. Some occasional evening work to check in guests for events.
• Manage inbound / outbound postal and courier deliveries.
• Manage the bookings of company apartments (Martin Lane apartments & Floating apartments).
• Manage the allocation of cark park spaces for the Clarksons Car Park.
• Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
• Issue permanent and temporary security cards following policies and procedures.

What we are looking for

Experience & Knowledge:
• Previous reception experience, preferably within a corporate environment
• Exceptional communication skills
• Good IT skills – proficient at using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and confident at learning new software packages (e.g. switchboard and access control software)
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Passionate about providing a first-class reception service and experience
• Professional and organised
• Able to manage challenging situations intelligently and offer solutions
• Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Able to build relationships and work with people at all levels
• Punctual and reliable with a flexible approach
