Role Summary

The core part of this role is to oversee all elements of the group IT procurement, hardware and software assets. This would not be restricted to all aspects of planning, budgeting, software and hardware lifecycle. The primary focus would be the UK office but would require a global standard to be both adopted and promoted.

 

This role may require work to be completed outside of the standard office hours and may also require travel to the UK and other Clarksons offices where needed.
 

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the group IT vendor relationship and contracts.

• Managing and progressing the group IT asset management using ServiceNow.

• Adhering to ISO27001 and ISO9001 standards.

• Expanding and driving forward the group IT Procurement system (ServiceNow).

• Working with financial management and the Group IT Director to deliver a working global IT strategy.

• Ensuring SLA / maintenance contracts are in place for group IT hardware, software, and services.

• Providing key procurement and asset management services to group IT management peers.

• Working as part of IT management team to build the portfolio of the global CMDB and IT Procurement process.

• Liaising with the various members of IT management ensuring the various ISO and audit requirements are met, evidenced, and enhanced on an ongoing basis.

• Eradicating any single points of failure within group IT procurement and asset management.

• Ensuring group asset lifecycle is maintained proficiently and accountable for all aspects of asset management.

• Maintaining documentation to the highest level, sharing reporting on progress to the wider IT team (as promotion of) but also IT management to drive on excellence.

• Ensuring the London based IT Procurement and asset management desk is staffed Monday-Friday.

• Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to confidently and effectively liaise with IT management and staff across different regions and timezones.

• Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow asset management.

• Demonstrable experience with IT procurement and reporting.

• Experience of creating IT spending strategies.

• IT asset lifecycle experience.

• Proficient in contract/service management.

• Knowledge of Office365 technologies.

• MS Teams and MS productivity solutions.

• ServiceNow reporting.
