Division Overview

Gibb Group is a leading supplier of MRO & PPE to the industrial and Energy sectors. Strategically located in Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth to fulfil the needs of the oil & gas, marine & renewable industries, Gibb Group offers a complete supply solution.


Role Summary

We are looking to take on a Warehouse Apprentice as part of our growing team in our Great Yarmouth office. We are looking to train and mentor new talent, with a view to ongoing employment after successful completion of the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification, based on performance.

What we are looking for

We are looking for ambitious, hardworking and sociable individuals to join the Gibb Tools & Supplies team.

The duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:

·        Packing products to be sent out in perfect condition and in a presentable manner

·        Taking deliveries

·        Maintaining stock records and documentation

·        Ensuring warehousing goals are met

·        Ad hoc duties as required


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

·        Good levels of written and verbal English

·        Ability to work alone and in a team

·        IT literate with a good understanding of PC software such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook 

·        Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced office environment

·        Ability to speak to people at different levels of management

·        A reliable individual with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

Personal qualities

·        Friendly, proactive and approachable

·        Driven, with a strong work ethic

·        Enthusiastic

Desired qualifications

·        5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-5 (or equivalent) including maths and English

·        15 month programme and a commitment to complete this

·        This is an apprenticeship standard, which means completion is subject to an End-Point Assessment (EPA). This will include a practical test and a short answer questions scenario test with a third party
