Role Summary
We are seeking an Apprentice to join our busy Freight Forwarding team in Great Yarmouth. Full training will be given.


What you will be doing

• Collections and deliveries, ensuring customers receive the correct goods on time and in excellent condition.

• Taking deliveries and ensuring stock is sorted and processed.

• Warehouse / yard duties and keeping the warehouse and service area clean and tidy.
• Learning all aspects of Import, Export procedures.
• Domestic & International Freight Forwarding.

• Maintaining all necessary administration and records in accordance with Company guidelines.

• Reporting any concerns, problems, incidents or accidents to the Warehouse Manager in accordance with Company policy.

• Ensuring warehousing goals are met.

• Delivering products, driving responsibly, and upholding the Company’s brand.

• Communicating effectively with clients and working closely with colleagues in the team and in the office.

• Adhere to all Company Health & Safety, Quality, and Security compliance standards.

• Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

 

What we are looking for

Skills & Experience

• Full clean UK driving license

• Good communication skills, with a courteous manner

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent organisational and prioritising skills

• Strong attention to detail and high focus on accuracy
• Proactive and a self-starter who is able to multi-task

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy with a good work ethic

• Good IT skills


Special Job Requirements

• Occasional out of hours and weekend work when necessary
