Role Summary

The primary function of this role will be to manage the sourcing capabilities and supply chain across Gibb Group (comprising of Gibb Safety & Survival and Gibb Tools). As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for strategising and negotiating the supply chain in order to achieve optimum cost-effectiveness and to reduce procurement expenses.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for procurement and supply chain across Gibb Group.  
  • Contract management including:
  • Identification of supply chain efficiencies & performance issues.
  • Management and administration of invitation to tender processes.
  • Analyse cross-divisional spending and develop global strategic sourcing plans.
  • Demonstrates a measurable reduction in year over year total cost of ownership for the goods and services being sourced without compromising quality and service levels.
  • Consider financial planning, forecasting, P&L performance, inventory, cash flow, tariffs and inflation to inform strategy.
  • Develop a Procurement policy and framework.
  • Drive a periodic review of tools used across the business with an action plan associated.
  • Driving active service engagement, setting up and managing service reviews and outputs.
  • Monitor industry and make recommendations for vendor changes that might add value.
  • Manage spend – track spend and monitor committed contracts with strong negotiation skills
  • Active management of SLA’s, service agreements and any breach of these
  • Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration, or proven business experience of equivalent level
  • Experienced in successfully managing supply chain operations.
  • Target driven
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in using ERP systems such as OGL, SAP, MERLIN, ODERWISE
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, negotiation terms and rebate structures
  • Highly organised and detail oriented
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Incoterms an advantage
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
