Agency Team Lead Eemshaven

Our Port Services division is a powerhouse in offshore energy and dry bulk sectors, and we want you to lead our Eemshaven team.

The Role

As our Agency Team Lead, you are the bridge between strategy and the quay. You will combine hands-on ship’s agency operations with a crucial leadership role, ensuring our Eemshaven office remains a beacon of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Drive the daily success of the Eemshaven agency team. You’ll manage resource planning, shift schedules, recruitment, and the onboarding of new talent.
Operational Excellence: Perform ship’s agency duties, managing communication between vessels, port authorities, and customers while ensuring all cargo and vessel documentation is flawless.
Network Collaboration: Regularly sync with Team Leads from other ports to share best practices and boost operational performance.
Commercial & Safety Mindset: Act as a role model for QHSE, focusing on Net Zero solutions and Zero LTI. You’ll also support debt recovery and client visits to maintain strong margins and relationships.
Flexibility: Shipping never stops. You will participate in an out-of-hours rota and provide cover for other Dutch or UK offices when needed.

Who You Are

You are a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced port environment. You combine a "can-do" attitude with the analytical skills needed to solve complex logistical puzzles.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven background in ship’s agency and/or port operations, including experience with customs procedures.
Education: MBO4 or (preferably) HBO Bachelor level of thinking.
Communication: Fluent in both Dutch and English (verbal and written).
Tech-Savvy: Confident in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Driving Force: You hold a current, clean, valid NL driving license.
Mindset: A natural collaborator who is resilient, inquisitive, and dedicated to professional integrity.
