Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Handysize Broker to join our Dry Cargo team in Dubai. You will be responsible for negotiating and fixing spot cargoes/vessels on various routes.

You should have a successful broking background within Dry Cargo with 2-5 years’ experience, be driven and focused, and a strong relationship builder. The ideal candidate will have previous broking experience and have experience working the Middle East, South African and Indian market within the Handysize segment.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop client base.
• Market, negotiate and fix tonnage and cargoes to clients.
• Understand the business strategy for the division and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients.
• Identify and introduce new clients to the market and maintain professional relationships.
• Perform market analysis and provide market insight and trade ideas to clients.
• Assist Senior Handysize Brokers on the desk with ad hoc duties to meet the needs of the business and the team.

• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

• Confident and able to work well under pressure.
